Residences at Coffee Creek in Chesterton 5th Annual Scarecrow Contest Residences at Coffee Creek will be hosting our 5th Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest from October 22-29, 2023. Each group will be provided a specified 10x10 space for constructing their Scarecrow Display. Groups and individuals must supply all of their own materials, posts, etc. All entries must be setup between October 20 and 21. (Please see dates/times below) Residences at Coffee Creek will publicize the event in community papers, Facebook, and website to invite public viewing and voting. We will assign and post a number to each entry to aide in voting. Votes will be accepted in a drop box located at the entrance of our facility or on Face book, from October 22-30. Votes will be tallied on October 31st and winners will be contacted on November 1st, prizes to be awarded at the Residences at Coffee Creek on the same date. Displays should be taken down by November 4th. 1st Place - $500.00 2nd Place - $250.00 3rd Place - Trophy Take this opportunity for your group, business or organization to be creative. You may choose a theme for your Scarecrow(s) display. Displays can be whimsical, scary, patriotic, Halloween-themed, etc. We also want to invite groups to stop in for hot cider and cookies when they are setting up their scarecrows.
