Residences at Coffee Creek Hosts Virtual Concert Fundraiser for Local Adult Day Center
St. Agnes Adult Day Service Center is a local non-profit organization offering support services for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Located in Valparaiso, St. Agnes provides a nurturing place where trained caregivers provide safety, healthcare, personal care, and meaningful activities for adults who cannot stay at home by themselves due to dementia. St. Agnes allows a participant’s family to work, run errands, or simply take a break throughout the day and know their loved one is cared for and experiencing joy and purposeful stimulation.
The approach of St. Agnes is to offer a structured environment of activities such as exercise classes, daily chores, and comfortable space of relaxation and serenity. Their services are extremely beneficial to the dementia community and the family members that are on this journey as well.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, St. Agnes Adult Day has closed its doors. Because Residences at Coffee Creek so firmly believes in their mission, we have decided to host a virtual benefit concert where donations can be made to St. Agnes directly. This is just a small way to give back to the population we serve and support a wonderful cause that is hurting during this time.
The virtual concert will feature local musician, Gerry Hundt, and will be streamed via Facebook Live Watch Party on May 28th at 5:30pm on the Residences at Coffee Creek Facebook Page and also the St. Agnes Facebook Page. Guests are encouraged to share the live video on their own page to help raise as much as possible.
