Residences Senior Living Responding to Covid-19 with Renewed Hope for Residents and Families

Residences at Deer Creek in Schererville and Coffee Creek in Chesterton have partnered with Walgreens providing residents, staff and essential caregivers priority access to the Covid-19 vaccine. Residents and staff have received their 2nd vaccine doses. Programs are in place for new residents and staff to access the vaccine on-site going forward.

The new Essential Caregiver Program allows each resident a designated friend or family member access to more frequent visits. The program is the first step in the community’s journey back to regaining normalcy since the state mandated restrictions to help curb the spread of COVID-19, keeping high-risk populations safe.

Last spring, RCC implemented enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures and invested in air purifier systems and anti-viral foggers to clean and sterilize against the virus. Continuous health monitoring of all who enter has proven successful in combatting Covid-19’s spread.
